As a present from our kids we did get a five day hotel trip to Paris. We did leave at january 28, 2010 from the bus terminal at the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht. We did drive by bus to the International busstation Gallieni in Paris. The trip with the bus of Eurolines was a good journey. We did stop each 2 hours for about 10 to 15 minutes. After we did arrive in Paris, we went with the metro to our hotel with the name "Hotel Little". This hotel was on walking distance of the Place de la République (Republic square). As the name of our hotel did tell us, it was indeed a small hotel, but it was nice an good to stay there. The breakfast was simple but it was good.

The next day we went to the Louvre Museum, where we did see the paiting of the Mona Lisa, and a lot more of museum pieces. After visiting the museum we did walk to the end of the Avenue des Champs-Élysées where the Arc de Triomphe is located. After we did look arround there and did see the monument of the unknown soldier, we did go back to our hotel.

The we did go the next day by metro to the Eifeltower. It was that morning very cold and the metal stairs and balconies of the Eifeltower where frosen. Therefore we could not clime the tower. When we we did came back later that day, there was a hugh row of people for the entry, so we did tought to skip this for today. So we did take the metro again and we went to the Notre Dame. A very nice church, but also here it was not possible to clime the towers, due the frosen and slippery stairs.

On our last day we went to the Sacre Coeur. This time it was possible to clime the tower of the church, and we did have a fantastic view over the city of Paris. Then we did a short walk to Montmartre, where we could see the painters busy with working on there paintings. From there we did walk to the Centre Georges Pompidou, what in fact a museum is. Then we did go further to the Jardin du Luxembourg (Gardens of Luxembourg), where the France Senate is located.

On the day we must go home a gain, wqe did take the metro on la République and we did go to the shopingcentre at the busstation Gallieni. There we did buy something to eat in the bus and did take a small lunch. The bus did leave after a 30 minutes delay heading via Brussles to Utrecht in the Netherlands.
